Weighted metal rods with eye loops and paracord will keep the cover in place in windy conditions. Installation is simple and position adjustable, requiring no maintenance. For the best waterproof effect, it is recommended to sprinkle water on the fabric after installing it so that the cloth absorbs water and expands. Since waterproof material does not let water pass through, use a broom handle or anything that is not sharp to push the pool of water on the cover to allow the water to run off.
This replacement canopy is sold separately, as the pergola structure/frame is not included. However, more custom sizes are available. Additionally, the company also offers breathable pergola covers for windy and hot summer areas.
The package includes 2 heavy-duty metal weighted rods with rust protection treatment, plus 4 sections of paracord. By inserting the weighted rods into each rod pocket and securing with paracord, the shade cover will stay in place in windy conditions. It is important to note that the sizes listed are the exact size of the cover, not the size of your pergola/structure.
Installation is easy, with the cover finished with a double-stitched reinforced seam and 2 long tubular pockets at each end for easy placement on top of the pergola frame, with the rod pocket sides hanging down. The durable UV-treated waterproof material, using 2000GSM High Density 100% polyester fabric coated with polyurethane, blocks up to 100% of sun rays while reducing temperatures underneath by up to 30%, allowing you to enjoy your outdoor area year-round. It is important to ensure that the PU-coated side faces outward/towards the sky for proper waterproof installation.
Custom sizes are available, and the company offers hassle-free returns and a 1-year limited warranty. Customers are advised to measure their pergola before ordering, as the sizes listed refer to the cover size, not the pergola/structure size.
